An extensive tasting of 2019 barrels were slowly whittled down to just six, then blended & bottled. It reflects very clearly the vintage, which was difficult, raining almost daily from the 24th of September until, well March. What shone through was the early variety, Browns Apple; beautiful, fully ripe fruit that came in before the rains, supplemented by 3 of the later varieties; Dabinett & Harry Masters Jersey, carefully selected from Little Pomona's home orchard, & Yarlington Mill from 80 year old trees on a nearby farm. Slight funk on the nose but underneath bright yellow fruit & flowers. On the palate it has citrus up front before the richness of the late varieties & the barrels kick in to round it all out. 7% abv.
